For my leadership role, I created coloring books with fun facts about bees. using procreate on an ipad, I made digital drawings of bees and the different flowers they pollinate. After drawing the images I went on google and looked up some fun facts for kids about bees. Lastly, I added the fun facts and printed out the pages. I shared the coloring books with people at the plant sale and with kids at a day care so they could learn about why bees are important. I also helped update our website.
During this project, I discovered that I have a passion for creating. making the coloring books and coming up with the designs to showcase in the book was very fun and interesting. This project helped me learn that I like to create and design things. This project also helped me work on my communication skills because I had to talk to people about how and why I created my coloring book.
During this project I gained some artistic skills and time management skills. Having to create and design my own coloring book helped me learn artistic skills that will help me in the future if I ever have to create something digitally. I also learned time management skills because I had to make the coloring book with a certain amount of time.
f I started over my project, I would change the color of the paper used and the number of pages. I used yellow paper for the background and it made it harder for the colors to show up, I would’ve redone this and made the background white so coloring on it would be more practical. I also would have added more pages to the coloring book to make it a little longer and more interesting.
