Bronze Award

As our Bronze Award we decided we wanted to make people smile during the pandemic.

We decided to do this project because we wanted to spread kindness and happiness to the community during these hard times. This year has been very different and weird. We all need encouragement and appreciation.

We want to spread positivity and thank those people who have worked so hard during this pandemic.

We benefited because it helped us to become the change and to spread positivity to those around us. We want to say thank you and show our appreciation to all the health care workers because they risked their lives to help our community, we wanted to spread happiness to the teachers because through this crazy time they never gave up on teaching us and helping us to continue to learn and we wanted to share positivity to neighbors and strangers because everyone can benefit from a positive message.

The skills we learned were organization, being persistent, and delegation.

We worked together to choose a subject and figure out the right words to communicate on our cards and think of words of inspiration. It was also hard getting together to meet due to COVID-19.

Our parents helped us deliver our messages. Audrey’s mom will assist us in delivering our tokens of appreciation to a hospital and Audrey’s dad works at a grocery store and we are hoping to deliver our message there as well. . Izzy will be able to deliver her message to schools in our community. Olivia B. and Liv are spreading cheer around their neighborhoods and Jordyn is handing out her paintings to essential grocery store workers to thank them for their hard work.

We will be writing letters to these different places asking for permission to hand out our positive messages and appreciation gifts.
